The difference between explosion-proof submersible pump and ordinary submersible pump

Oct. 18, 2023

Since many users need to meet explosion-proof standards when using any electrical products in the field, such as dangerous sites which contain methane (commonly known as gas) and coal-dust explosion, chemical plants, gas stations and other environments, must meet the explosion-proof standards, when using submersible pumps are the same requirements.

The characteristics of explosion-proof submersible pump: Jining Antai pump industry according to market demand, on the basis of submersible sewage pump to the original ordinary motor to explosion-proof motor. An explosion-proof head is added to the pump body of the leading cable to avoid fire and explosion accidents caused by sparks generated by the motor and line of the pump body. The cable of the explosion-proof submersible pump also adopts the explosion-proof flame-retardant submersible cable on the basis of the ordinary submersible cable used in the ordinary submersible pump, so as to achieve the explosion-proof standard. Ordinary submersible pumps are prohibited to transport flammable and explosive liquids. Because after all, the whole motor is diving into the liquid inside the work, if the cable is damaged or the pump leakage is likely to produce sparks and lead to dangerous accidents, requiring explosion-proof places can only use explosion-proof submersible pumps.

Submersible sewage pump is a pump and motor integrated, and at the same time submerged under the liquid work pump products. Compared with the general horizontal pump or vertical sewage pump, submersible sewage pump has compact structure, small footprint and convenient installation and maintenance. Large submersible sewage pumps are generally equipped with automatic coupling devices for automatic installation, installation and maintenance is quite convenient. Long continuous operation time. Because the pump and motor are coaxial, the shaft is short, and the rotating parts are light in weight, the load on the bearing (radial) is relatively small, and the life is much longer than that of the general pump. There is no cavitation damage and irrigation water problems. In particular, the latter point brings great convenience to the operator. Low vibration noise, low motor temperature rise, no pollution to the environment.

1, Understand the use of the pump environment, choose the right type of pump (generally wet and dry)

2, Calculate the head required by the pump. Sometimes the customer also counts the flat conveying distance into the head, which is wrong. The flat conveying distance multiplied by the friction coefficient can be counted into the head.

3, Pipe elbow wear, pipe friction, etc. should be calculated, these are different in the actual situation, to calculate accurately is also quite troublesome, so it is recommended to leave some space to ensure that the pump can suck water.

4, If you choose stainless steel explosion-proof submersible pump, but also to find out the fluid PH and particle diameter, choose the appropriate stainless steel material. Generally 304 stainless steel material is suitable for PH4~10, more than this range is recommended to use 316 or 316L stainless steel.

5, The pump pipeline must be dredged, if the pipeline will cause motor overpower, in serious cases will burn the motor.
